A name or location entered into a search tool passes directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message as needed to answer it. The communication remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Your device's assigned IP address
- The referring site, when one is reported
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. They help show which pages receive traffic and how visitors move through the site. Analytics providers combine that activity into usage reports. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Carroll County Criminal History does not store, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Carroll County Sheriff, Circuit Court, Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not used to build third-party records or consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the site's search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing practices apply to information entered there. We do not control those terms, so review the provider's policy before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Carroll County Sheriff, Missouri courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search providers. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal information.
An advertising provider may track activity across websites to select ads. That process occurs through the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Search partners processing a submitted query
- Advertising networks serving page ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices protect the data we handle, but no internet system can guarantee perfect security. We take protective measures without promising that a breach is impossible.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. We will delete such information when a valid request identifies it.

Rights may also arise under applicable Missouri law, including the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act, Chapter 407.
